not alot to report really i still cant put the PMSDR through its paces yet as the idiot i bought the sound card from on eBay either hasn't posted it or he has sent it via Australia and so now eBay are dealing with it and they say i have to leave it another 10 days needless to say i will be closing my account and not using it again.

i have been listening to band 1 meteor pings with the PMSDR and even on my bad souncard its working surprisingly well and also it works quite good on DRM using dream drm software as the power sdr iq software has a dedicated drm filter. as i said not alot to report and as for MW dx i cant get enough enthusiasm to get up in the morning knowing i haven't got some wide "ish" bandwidth recording yet and i cant sit on one frequency waiting for an id as i am wondering whats coming in up/down in the band.

i was chatting with Guy Atkins the other night on skype and he was telling me about a new antenna project himself and another dxer were dreaming up but they are not giving details out just yet and i look forward to seeing what it is and GUY when you read this HURRY UP !!!!! we were also chatting about antenna locations when you are on a dx outing not so much here in the UK but in the USA as you seemed to get sued for looking at someone the wrong way over there and what would happen if someone tripped over your beverage after all as Guy said there was a well known case in the USA when a woman went into Mcdonalds and got 20 million dollars for burning her lip on a hot coffee SO WATCH WHERE YOU PUT YOUR BEVERAGE

  1. Hi David,

Yes, it's funny how nearly everyone in the States knows about the legal case of the $20 million dollar beverage! We're not talking about Beverage antennas, either!!

I'm heading back to the WA coast again April 24-27 with the new, elaborate phased antenna system to try, plus I will be retesting the 2- and 3-SuperLoop array again (the Wellbrook prototype). I'm hoping for good weather, as I'll be tent camping this time and using DC power only. 73, Guy
