still nothing much really to report here on the MW band and i have a bit of a TV noise problem once again but its not too bad. my neighbour got himself a 50 odd inch plasma and he is unplugging it from the wall when he goes to bed but he is switching it on at 0700 before he goes to work so i will have to wait until the dawn peak is around 0600 but from before 0700 is fine. i was in the shack from 0545 this morning and the band started to open up around 0640 with quite a few ss stations heard from 1230 up but no ids were heard and at around 06.50 i stopped recording due to the TV noise starting up and this mornings files have been deleted.

there has been a few comments about Nico on the Perseus sdr yahoo group about updates etc for the Perseus sdr and personally i would be worried if i owned one as everything seems to have come to a sudden halt and what would happen if your Perseus was needing a fault fixed and while other sdr radios are constantly getting DLL updates etc ie check my previous post for the pmsdr on 4 meters there has been nothing for a long time for the Perseus and i think Nico was last seen on the yahoo group a good few months ago ... time to get worried ???? . don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the Perseus the way it is but i would be pissed off if i was spending all that cash on a radio when there are less expensive ones around which are constantly getting updates and for the moment it looks as if the Perseus is not/cant be taken any farther.

once again Paul Crankshaw ( Troon) who is not to far from here has been pulling the dx out and there was nothing like that at my location and i dont think Ken who is just down the road from me got them either. you can hear some of his clips on the following link pauls colombian receptions i wonder if the ice cap will melt so i can get a sea path LOL !
