you wait all year for the end of May for the sporadic e season to start then all you get is a big let down. 23 of June already and i can honestly say this is my worst season on B1 TVDX since i started  and so far from the end of may i have had one 2 x hop opening that gave me pictures which was Jordan on E3 ( 55.250) there has been far too many solar flares and any dxer this far north will tell you it kills the band stone dead apart from aurora on 50 MHz and while the band has just recovered from the last flare reports are another one has happened this morning so it looks like another few days or longer with dead conditions on B1 TVDX.

sometimes after a flare you get a wee rise in conditions but 9/10 it just destroys the band and as i type i have just checked from E2 ( 48.250 ) to E4 ( 62.250) and apart from meteor/iono scatter the band is totally silent although i see 50 MHz dxers in Finland and Sweden etc starting to report in band video signals and oirt starting but them getting it there might as well be a million miles from what i get here in the south west of Scotland.

UPDATE ....

i was just going to publish the above and i had a quick check around 50 mhz and i am starting to receive some Spain and Portugal beacons so fingers crossed all is not lost.
